Before Sunrise: Pickup

The morning begins before the city does. Pickup from Abu Dhabi International Airport or your hotel is arranged between 4:00 and 5:00 am, depending on the season and that day’s sunrise time. From there, you leave the city behind in a private Land Cruiser and head toward the Empty Quarter, watching the roads empty out as the first light starts to show on the horizon.

Into the Empty Quarter
